Business Analyst – Social Services Applications (Austin, TX | Hybrid)
Contract: Long-Term
Eligibility: Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite 3 days per week. Must be able to work on a W2 basis (no C2C, 1099, or third-party vendors). Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.
Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with Social Services Applications experience to support eligibility systems and business automation initiatives. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, developing business rules, creating technical specifications, and supporting system enhancements within complex IT and social services environments.
Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
• 4+ years mentoring and consulting with Social Services Applications staff.
• 4+ years analyzing and interpreting regulations, policy, and technical system documentation.
• Strong ability to translate business/user needs into clear technical requirements and documentation.
• Proven experience planning, coordinating, and leading both individual and group work activities.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting application issues.
• Skilled in designing technical solutions and writing concise business requirements and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
• Support the design and implementation of eligibility programs’ business rules and requirements.
• Develop and maintain QA processes, performance monitoring, and reporting standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
• Provide peer reviews of business requirements and technical documentation.
• Support SSA eligibility systems through production support and user assistance.
• Prepare communications, reports, and audit documentation for leadership and external stakeholders.
